Adulting Docs Package

Includes both a Power of Attorney and an Advance Directive for your Young Adult.

A Power of Attorney authorizes a trusted person (known as an “agent” or “attorney-in-fact”) to act on behalf of the Young Adult regarding financial, legal, or medical matters. It is a critical estate planning tool that is used if someone becomes incapacitated or cannot manage their affairs.

An Advance Directive enables durable power of attorney for health care decisions. It outlines medical preferences and appoints a representative to make decisions if the Young Adult becomes incapacitated. It ensures the Young Adult’s wishes regarding life-sustaining treatment, such as resuscitation or feeding tubes, are followed.
